Hi, The odds are the same whether the connector is suited or not. Did you say suited because you want to exclude flops with a straight-flush draw? Should we also exclude flops with a normal flush draw? To double check that the method I am using is accurate I also checked for the probability of flopping 8 out straight draws and I found 39 times i flopped 8 out straight draws. For a gutshot on the flop... you need one of 4 unseen cards. There are a total of 47 unseen cards. (Of 52, you have 2, and there's 3 on the table) round it to 50 for easy math 100/50 is 2. So each each of those 4 cards there is a 2% chance of appearing. 2x4 8% chance. Then you get another 8% on the river. This is the math I use at the table to calculate decisions quickly and easily!
